@AgborD But such an invalid marriage is not the same as no marriage. It has a legal strength: children are considered legitimate by law; the spouses could actually become truly married by merely renewing consent; and it has to be declared invalid before any of them could marry again.

@AgborD As soon as he accepts the Papacy. But as in the case of marriage there could be apparant acceptation by words, but actually not there. Then it exists only coram Ecclesia but not coram Deo. This is why a marriage can be invalid even though externally recognised by Church law.
