@warmcover @englishtradcat @LukeDashjr Consequence: Pius XII had taught that a layman could become Pope; Vatican II contradicted it and changed the law accordingly: now a layman would have to be consecrated before he could be pope at all. A clear change of doctrine.

@warmcover @englishtradcat @LukeDashjr An interresting point: Distinction between Order and Jurisdiction is clearly taught by the Church. Vatican II did away with it with collegiality: all bishops receive some kind of universal jurisdiction by the Consecration itself.

Just an observation. Should make one think.
