That involves a twofold aspect: 1) infallibility in teaching (in docendo, or active infallibility) for the teaching Church; 2) infallibility in believing (in credendo, or passive infallibility) for the whole Church (all Catholics).

@AlbinusFalco @FrDesposito As Bp Guérard used to say, theology is not only to repeat what was said before. The " universal acceptance " objection is not that difficult to understand if instead of merely repeating, you go back to the principles on which even Cardinal Billot based himself.
